Meet the Panelists - May 27 Workshop
I am thrilled to once again introduce my workshop guests to dear friends and colleagues that will bring their expertise and testimony to my second Walk Lite workshop. Meet my panelists!
MORIAH HOLMES
Moriah is a creative, a writer, a singer, and a social worker who hopes to inspire others to become the best versions of themselves through her creative works. Her first book, The Millennial Manifesto on Love & Relationships, is a guided poetry discussion book that explores the themes of friendship, love, and building healthy relationships. Her first song, Switch Up, is an upbeat tune about overcoming mental health struggles. You can find all her creative works under her artist name, Riah Cole. When she is not creating, Moriah can be found building partnerships and facilitating community-engaged learning opportunities at a Christian university in Southern California.
DR. VANESSA R. ABERNATHY
Dr. Vanessa R. Abernathy (DrV) is a clinical psychologist and a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. DrV earned her PsyD in clinical psychology and master’s in psychology from Fuller Theological Seminary (School of Psychology) and earned her master’s in divinity from Duke University. She is also an HBCU graduate of North Carolina Central University and Amazon Best-Selling author of the 2021 ebook, Unbaitable U: Keys to Triumph Over Narcissistic Abuse.
JORDAN ROLLERSON
Jordan Rollerson is currently a Doctoral student at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He currently is 2022-2023 Clinical Psychology Fellow where his research interests include: Black males’ conceptualization of Jesus’ masculinity and how it influences/shape their Christian male identity/spirituality as well as Black male friendships and how these friendships protect against adverse mental health outcomes later in life. He was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas “The Holy Land” and earned both his Undergraduate and Master’s degree in Educational Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Austin. Before moving to California he was an Athletic Director and Middle/High School teacher in Austin Texas where his love for adolescents inspired him to pursue his studies in psychology. He is a lover of Jesus, a lover of people, and loves food.
